Tested using a very old Windows 7 installation, old Nvidia drivers and same L4D2 copy it was working before, game crashes too.

so it is not a Nvidia driver problem or game video settings or addons installed.

Happened with previous L4D2 installation it was working before and previous Windows 7, without latest windows 7 updates, no game addons and lower game video settings, so I don´t know why some clients crashed and not all of them.

P.S: Singleplayer mode it does not crash.

symilar thing happening in map - left in china.

Server - gungamemod

when exit saferoom and run trough china wall, there is animation of chopper fly 20-30 sec, and crash.

when chopper crash, 1 client experience game crash.
If i play allone, it is me, if play with someone else, than random player got game crash to desktop.

After map restart if i play allone, second time that dont happened

No sure what to do with these kind of errors.

But you all would have to play one of the problematic campaings to get these client crashes again so that I could check for more logs on the server.
And I would need the server name, map name, time when clients are crashing.

The Bloody Moors map l4d_tbm_3 crashed on Realism server too.

As I said before, it crashes even running an old L4D2 copy, old Nvidia drivers and without any addons.

But only some client have crashed.

We could try to enable client logging to get some more info:

Add "log on" command to the top of the "left4dead2\cfg\config.cfg" file.

This should create log files in "left4dead2\logs" folder.

Maybe it will log some interesting info when the client crashes.

Edit:
Seems not to work properly to get a log on the client.
Maybe it works only local but not when connected to a server.
I dont know.
Maybe you can find another way to get a log file on the client.

I've enabled more server logs on 16/17/18/19/21 now.
With the server, map, time of the next client crash I could have a look if in find something in the extended logs.

Furthermore you all could enable client logging (see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] )
Maybe this could give some hint why some clients are crashing.

Maybe some client game updates introduced that problems which some custom maps.

Done. Game crashed, in the same map zone at beggining.

These lines are created as soon as I run the game. so nothing related with the game crash.

And what is in the log before the crash comes?
Maybe we would have to add that to the config file too:

sv_logflush = 1

This should write each log message directly to the file.
Otherwise the lines are cached and written later so that the lines may get missing when the crash happens.
Dont know if it works on client because it starts with "sv_"

That is not the log file.
It should be something like:
\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\logs\l192_168_178_028_27015_201611051154_000.log"
It seems that it gets removed from config.cfg
In console you can enable it with "log on" command.
Not sure where to put it so that it stays in the client.

About infinite tank,. Map spawn 2 tanks in singleplayer, so I think you can disable multitank plugin, to avoid this infinite tank bug, at least on l4d_tbm_3 chapter.

Ok I sent the command log on without quotes in the console. I used quotes when I added this command to cfg file, maybe quotes it is not neccesary.

Lines in the log file are created when I´m connected to the server and playing the map. a little after tanks spawned the game it crashed.

I crashed everytime I played this chapter, same game place. Maybe I connected again to the server, the map was running and crashed again. 3 minutes later, so yes, I connected again while server was running the map yet and game crashed in the same place.

Another idea would be to test the problematic maps on the Pure server 16.
It has nearly no plugins installed.

On Pure server, game it crashed as soon as I connected to the map.

I connected again, and my game crashed again. so I can´t connect to pure server while server is running this map/chapter.

P.S: Third try, I connected without crash, now we will see if game crashes.

Damn!! I crashed again as soon as I maximized game window to play and test, game crashed  Shocked

Ok, playing it is not possible, game crashed as soon as I tried to move

I can test using a no-steam copy, to know if only steam players will crash, because when game crashed for me, other players did not crash.

P.S: My no-steam client crashes too.

In part where i say:
2016-11-06 01:06:31 myljach to 1 player got crash to dsktopw
2016-11-06 01:07:01 myljach maybe this is it

Here is 01:53 now, i think im +1 or -1 from your timezone

in that time 2 of 4 players crash to desktop (game crash like killed in task manager)
That happened in l4c_wall - 1st map of that campaign, when exit from saferoom, in middle of China wall, when you see animation of chopper fly, and explode behind mountain.

That happened all time in same spot, and if i play allone, after i open game and rejoin, second time dont happened.

So the map creator has removed the map from gamemaps.
But he made a link to the steam workshop.
There is says version 24 and we have version 24 too.
But you say the workshop version does not work?

I will check when i go home, some guys says its older bersion and cannt connect, but maybe just forgot restart game.

Edit: i test it and not work. I remove v24B from gamemaps, download version from workshop, but got error - mismatch version.
In adons menu in game i cant see current version offered from steam workshop, says only - helms deep. When i return version from gamemaps (link dead) game works.
Of course i was restartin game when made some changes

About Bloody Moors map l4d_tbm_3, it crashed on alServ2018 Coop if you use video settings Effect detail High, using Medium it did not crashed.

I dont know why, but now game did not crashed on others servers (Pure, Realism, Coop 2019).

Another bug playing map l4d_tbm_3, on Coop 2019, some tanks are bugged, Jumper Tank and Cobalt Tank.

Green square = Cobalt Tank
Orange square = Jumper Tank
